Ville de Montreal’s Home Ownership Program

The Ville de Montreal’s Home Ownership Program has recently been adjusted so more properties qualify under the terms of the program. Many purchasers who buy qualifying properties will be eligible for substantial financial subsidies. For instance, buyers of newly-constructed units could be eligible for a purchase subsidy of up to $6250 AND the total refund of their welcome tax, while buyers of existing units can be eligible for a total refund of their welcome tax.

Of note is the fact that only properties in the boroughs of Montreal qualify under this program – those located in the independent suburban cities do not qualify.
